STOP #1. CHINATOWN
From our stop near City Hall you can walk down Fisgard Street, past the Chinese Public School, under the Gate of Harmonious Interest into the heart of Canada’s oldest Chinatown. Enjoy Chinese food. Sip Bubble Tea. Stroll along Fan Tan Alley,
where gambling dens of days gone by have given way to boutiques, galleries, and “the never-ending store.”

STOP #2. CRAIGDARROCH CASTLE
Built by Scottish coal baron Robert Dunsmuir back in 1898,
Craigdarroch gives us a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle
enjoyed by his family (Dunsmuir was B.C.’s first millionaire),
plus a breathtaking view from
the fourth floor for those who climb the castle’s 87 stairs!

STOP #3. OAK BAY VILLAGE
This quaint area with its “very English” flavour is a favourite
stop for many. Have lunch or afternoon tea at The Blethering
Place, or a pint at the Penny Farthing Pub. Browse new or
second-hand bookstores. Enjoy Winchester Galleries. The Oak
Bay waterfront is a 20-minute stroll from the bus stop…or you
can look at it later from the bus!

STOP #4. CATTLE POINT
In days gone by, livestock brought by boat from the mainland came ashore at Cattle Point, home of Uplands Farm (now The Uplands Estate). Today, you can enjoy the rocky shoreline, with its seabirds and panoramic views, then stroll
along the Willows Beach boardwalk for a paddle in the ocean, or tea and an ice cream at Willows Park.

STOP #5. BEACON HILL PARK
Set aside for public use in the 1880s, the park’s 154 acres
include trees, shrubs, plants, flowers, lakes, peacocks,
Children’s Petting Farm, cricket pitch and putting green, and a
ceremonial totem pole commemorating the First Nations
people who once lived on the grass-covered slopes of Mee-a-can – now called Beacon Hill.

STOP #6. FISHERMAN’S WHARF
An eclectic mix of fishing boats and float-homes, Fisherman’s
Wharf is a great place to catch a Harbour Ferry, dine al fresco
at Barb’s Fish & Chips, then treat yourself to dessert at Jackson’s Ice Cream float. This unique and vibrant community offers yet
another view of Victoria, the multi-faceted jewel in British Columbia’s crown.
